Default Saved from the Dump . What appers to be a Junghans School/Station clock .

    JUNGHANS WURTTMBERG

This movement has not been stripped and cleaned yet, but I need some information please.

Numbers W 202 and 301 appears on the back-plate with the logo.

The number 168 appears in the top left hand corner.

    Any idea of age?

The paper dial is partly missing, as are the hands, and pendulum.

Any pictures of the above items would be most appreciated.

I could not find a paper dial that matches, anywhere online, or in the normal catalogues. Any ideas please.
Any suggestions on where to find a paper replacement .

    Thank you
    Mark

January 1930 seems to be its date.

Can you find a dial on line and enlarge it to the proper size and print it out?
(I like it just the way it is.)

Do you have a contact at the dump?

Saw it among some scrap movements ready for the scrap heap. all were rescued.

The font on the dial is quite unusual and perhaps unique to the manufacturer.

This font was very common in Germany in the 1930s and into the 1950s. I don't think it was special to any particular manufacturer.

    JTD thanks for the info.

I have searched for the name of the font.
I used font searching software, but no luck.
The number 4 and no 7 do not turn up in any font set I have found.

    Will keep looking.

No scans of the dial appear online or even replacement paper dials.

I will redraw the dial, but would like to keep it original in appearance.

I don't know if this style of numerals had a name.

Yes, the 4 and 7 are special. I will see if I can find anything and let you know.

The 4 and 7 have something art deco about them in my view., which would fit with the 1930s
