Default Junghans ATO clock with second hand

    Hello,
I just picked up my first Junghans ATO clock. It is in nice shape but have yet to take a new battery to it (I am at work right now )

I do have a couple of the Kundo variety and was wondering about the pendulum lock on this style clock.
-where, or how is it stowed when not in use? I see where it is used when transporting.
-Anyone have a photo of one next to an accurate scale/ruler so I can turn one?
-I have heard that the style under a round dome with a second hand being termed "earlier" than the ones without. just what does "earlier" mean? anyone have an idea of the manufacturing window for this model? I believe it is a 220 model.

as always, thanks for your help and inspiration everyone!

    -Eric

For shipping, I think you can put some wedges under the
the magnet ends and coil. The idea is to lift the pendulum
enough that the top block would slide onto the brass stub
on the top part of the suspension spring.
    That would be my guess.
You could use a rubber band between the two wedges around
the outside of the coils to keep them from falling out.
Anyway, see if you can lift it enough to slide onto that
    stub.

    Thanks, Tinker Dwight!
I actually used a plain old small machine screw with the same threads to lock it in position, I am just thinking of making it "complete". Seems these little locking devices are like the torsion spring guards on 400-day clocks, they seem to vanish sometime in their history. Thanks for the idea!

Eric, I have the Junghans model without the seconds bit and the the pendulum lock screw is stored in the hole located at the rear of the base. It can be seen in your third photo behind the movement coloum. If still needed I can supply a photo later on today.
