    I think I'd need to see a video before I could recommend any thing.
    Even then I may not be sure.
    These need beat setting just like any clock.
    You should try it without the pin wheel. The pallets should be even
    on either side.

    Get rid of the spring you are using as a suspension. That will not work. It is suppose to have a thread suspension. A loop of cotton thread is all you need.

    I'd say that's the problem. If I slide the wheel with the pins back slightly it begins to work. Stops when the when moves forward again. Looks like I can bend the axle mount for the wheel slightly to move the pins back a little.
