Default Kelbert chronograph with valjoux 72

i am not able to find anything on this KELBERT and I think it is a Valjoux 72 or a derivate column wheel; I need help with identifying both the maker, the age and the right movement; it ticks great, keeps time but the pushers do not respond even though the chrono central hand is moving smoothly and the pushers go in and out easy; it seems to be needing a service and adjustments; the watch is untouched as I found in a watchmaker's estate, nothing seems to have been redone or worked on, the dial is original and untouched, the hands move nicely; I am not sure about the crown, it looks to be of age but not sure if original; the case is 34mm x 40mm from lug to lug and 12.5mm thick with 18mm lugs.

Hi Paul, this movement is not a cal 72. It looks to be a Valjoux cal 77. Probably dates from mid 40's to mid 50's. Looks like it needs a good clean.

thanks captainscarlet, do you have any info on "Kelbert"? I found great looking watches, very valuable, but not much on the maker...

Hi Paul. No I don't have any info on Kelbert. Looking at the code on the Balance bridge, I would imagine they were a US importer rather than a manufacturer. Google may have the answer

Just to avoid confusion. The item in question is a chronograph wristwatch. It is not a chronometer, even in the wrist chronometer sense. It will probably get a better respons in the wristwatch forum. I would be happy to move it there if you like.
