    Exclamation Signature

Needed to edit a link in my signature... which has existed for some time now.

i get an error that signature is too long 2 lines max.
I edited to 2 lines and error still appears.

    what now?

You might try going to the very end of your signature and then using the backspace key to make sure there aren't a lot of blank spaces or carriage returns (enters) at the end of the text. That can make your two line signature take up more than two lines, without you noticing.

    Regards,

If you'll give me the links I'll change it for you if I can. Since we're working on changing over to different MB software it's probably unproductive to try to figure out why, unless I can't do it either.

    Thank you!

re: pm... yes forgot about the trick of hyperlinking text... would save some characters.

    How about something like this:

Chapter 17 North Carolina ------------ Chapter 149 Early American Watch Club ----------- Chapter 149 Mentor List
Home of Russ Snyder Illinois CD database and Henry Burgell Serial number Look-up ... excellent research resources!

Some of the 149 links are dead, Terry may want to update his links

Great trick.. I can see 'how' to do that and it is effective.

    Jim,
I clicked the links, they seem to be working, arriving to the correct page....

    I DO appreciate the assistance....

Terry, would you like me to make your sig look like that? I will if you want, or you can probably just copy it from my post & paste it into your profile if you want it to look like that. Maybe it will get around the error you were seeing when you tried to change it yourself.

    Bill,
I attempted to edit my signature again.. to this (copied and pasted)... i even took out characters......dangifIkno....

Chapter 17 North Carolina --- Chapter 149 Early American Watch Club -- Chapter 149 Mentor List

I "Still" get the error and notice the signature can only be 2 lines long.

    Jim
The databases will not (to my knowledge) "run" on line, must be resident to computer.
the links do take one to the correct area of the site to learn about the feature, resource.... "that" I have no control over.
The web page is what it is....

Well, that didn't work as I expected. I'll have to try again later - Pizza just arrived & I want to eat it while it's hot.

P.S. The pizza was good. I had done a copy/paste of the visible text - which didn't make them links. I was in a hurry to get down to the hot pizza.
