    Default id gf clock movement?

    a neighbor has a grandfather clock 'built by a cabinet maker' for his family. i took some shots of the dial and movement but was unable to pull the hands and dial for better views.

    possible to id the movement from these limited photos?

    Use a small mirror on the back plate. I'm sure you'll find
    the name of the manufacture, since the movement was bought
    for the purpose.
    You can put a mirror on a stick at a 45 degree angle.

    i have one of those mirrors, and of course didn't think to take it with me.

    thx for taking the time to respond... the previous time i was at that neighbor's house was maybe five years ago... just walked over there to see the clock because he mentioned he had one and i needed a diversion from doing my taxes. 8-)
    i collect antique clocks because i get all that extra time...
