    Default Seth Thomas Chronometer 5009

Not really looking for any info. Just could not find any images for this particular clock on the net. So, I'm posting this one for the next guy that goes looking for one.
Customer found it at a yard sale couple years ago, really cheap. Brought it to me to be serviced and polish the case.

Do you have more pictures of the movement?
I don't know if it qualifies as a chronometer but looks to be
a ships clock. It would have to have a significant different
balance wheel and escapement to qualify.

Tink, I felt the same way till I opened it up. You can see the platform escapement. And, also Trans book that shows this particular model as being a chronometer. From 1913 and running great.

It's not a chronometer in the traditional sense. It is a high grade movement, Chelsea quality. Seth Thomas also had a single spring high grade movement used in these engine room clocks.

...and then there was the workhorse... the #10 movement.
