Default E. Howard & Co. timeline

In order to present a little bit of historical context to a paper I am finishing on Waltham Watch Co. contract watches for E. Howard I want to present a timeline of the series of E. Howard companies, with the various mergers and separations. The sequence of Howard clock companies below has been compiled from various sources, and some may not be correct. I would appreciate it if the clock folks could help me verify or correct the following sequence:

    1842-1857 --- Howard & Davis
    1858-1861 --- E. Howard & Co.
---- clock and watch businesses merge ---
    1861-1863 --- Howard Clock & Watch Co.
    1863-1898 --- E. Howard Watch & Clock Co.
---- 1898 -- company fails and is run by trustees
    1900-ca.1930? -- E. Howard Clock Co. (Boston)
---- 1902 -- watch business spun off as separate company
    ca.1930?-1934 -- E. Howard Clock Co. (Waltham)
1934-1964? -- Howard Clock Products (Waltham)

A similar thread for the watch business is posted on the American Pocket Watches forum -

Default Re: E. Howard & Co. timeline (By: Jerry Treiman)

A little more research prompted by some private comments have led to one correction:
Howard Clock Products in Waltham appears to have lasted from 1934 until around 1980 (or should that be 1986?).

I would greatly appreciate hearing about any other corrections to either the company names or dates of operation.

    Thank you.
