    Default Logo identification

    Hey all,
Recently bidding on a nice wall clock on line. I let it go because it was getting too pricey. I couldn't identify the maker so I didn't know if I might be paying too much. The logo was a C over M in a laterally laid out diamond shape.
Any thoughts, just for future reference? Thanks.

Very hard to say without seeing it as it could have been one of quite a number, but if I had to hazard a guess I would say Meiji Clock Co (Japanese).

Thanks J. I don't have a picture of it but it did look Japanese. Nice looking clock though.

Does the logo on your clock look like this one? I concluded that my clock was a Meiji. It's a typical looking 'school house' octagon wall clock and really doesn't look especially Japanese.

I'll move this over to Clocks General for more info.

Yes RC, that looks like the one. What made me think it might be Japanese was not so much the style but the wood was not one that is familiar, otherwise it could have passed for an American wall clock. Thanks.
