    Default Sorbina Repeater

Can anyone give me any info on these watches? I know they are Switzerland but that's about all i can find online.

I've seen a few on eBay but they are normally in the 1k+ range and normally 14k solid gold cases.

They seem overpriced and almost always look to be too new to be listed as made before 1920.

Any point in the right direction would be appreciated.

    Regards,

If you search completed listings on eBay, you will see a couple that have gone unsold. I don't see any that have actually sold.

I don't search the listings on eBay. Pictures would be helpful to recognize the watch...because is interesting to me.

Hi JesseEads, I don't think that you can show photos from an Auction that is still active. Also you have to have permission to use copyrighted photos from the person who owns the photos. Regards Ray

Quite right, Ray. The photos have, therefore, been removed.

Kinpol, as Jesse does not own the watch, it is not really possible for him to post photos. Photos are easily found by searching. If it is interesting to you, please do a search.

Sorbina was a mark of a Dutch retailer I. Jacovici. associated with Schulman bought watches of various calibers and various factories and sold in the Netherlands.

I have found quite a bit of info on Alfred, mostly about chronographs, but it's putting on the right path.

Any way to identify the patent on based on the pics? I don't mind looking it up myself if you can point me to the right place.

    Thanks Eri231. Man you're quick!

That's nice, with the stop watch functionality.

How much did you score it for?
