Waltham Model 1892 ATCo 15jewel NonMagnetic
Recently sold on ebay:
The Waltham database lists 4 runs of 15 jewel ATCo’s with a total production of 1285. The serial number of this watch, 20057299, places it in the last run.
I’ve searched the Waltham Model 92 website and this forum. The only reference I can find to 15 jewel ATCo’s is the mention of some gilt plate models with New Zealand Railway markings.
Has anyone else reported/seen any of these 15 jewel ATCo’s? Comments?

Re: Waltham Model 1892 ATCo 15jewel NonMagnetic (By: Joe Kendall)
The New South Wales Government Railways of Australia used this same 15 jewel non-magnetic nickel 92 model movement and these watches had dials marked with the railway name and came in nickel swingout cases with inventory markings on the rear.
Apart from these I've also seen some other examples of this movement like the subject auction with Waltham marked double sunk 24 hour dials. My thought is that these were likely made more generically for various export markets. Here's pics of one I had a few years ago ...
I've never seen or heard of a 15 jewel model 92 that was marked Appleton Tracy.
Some gilt 15 jewel movements were used by the Natal Government Railways (South Africa) but I haven't seen anything for a New Zealand railway, do you have more info on that?Fred Hansen
