    Learning the details of the

    Antikythera mechanism

    a 2000 year 30 -70 brass gear astronomical computing device. Astonding that the Greeks had the mathematics and technical skills to build such a amazing device. Wikipedia has a great discription of the device and the History Channel has a Youtube presentation of the device.

    Michael Wright came and gave us a talk on it at the Dorset Clock Society and brought one of his reconstructions.

    Here's an interesting video about the devise.
