    Default Dream Interruptus

    Dream Interruputus:

In California we have trees going into their 4000 and5000 years of life and still thriving. We have women living until 110 years and beyond. They must be the stronger or chosen sex for long lives. Men are puny…when it comes to the opposite sex. They leave too many widows to carry on.

Me I am going into my second century of life and looking forward to a dream of living 110 years…however, before my 101st birthday; however, it was terribly interrupted. Thursday, December 8, 2016…I found myself on a hospital bed - short of breath. [do they call that heart failure?] Four days, being poked, checked, blood pressured, and countless other testing. Three hours of sleep in four days isn’t good even in a hospital environment. No way was I going to miss my planned 101st birthday that had 20 people including me…on December 11, 2016.

Tried to call my doctor Thursday…their whole phone system is loused up to a degree that drives you mad…let alone a kid like me who just came home from such an ordeal.

No luck; should have a visiting nurse every so often. Maybe by tomorrow I will have better luck getting through and arranging things.

I can only say while it’s good to be alive…sometimes you go through too much stuff to be connected to get the proper help you may need.

Is my 10 year Dream Interrupts shattered?

Hopefully just an isolated incident on your way to 110. Are you OK now? Did they diagnose heart failure? Or, some other cause to your shortness of breath?

    Dave:

Thanks for your thoughts. I have no idea. Waiting to hear from my doctor. He did not respond to my last call.

In the meantime, I am to see a cardiac doctor if an about 6 weeks. So I am in the dark as to what I do have.

    PatH:

For a guy going onto 102 years of life [far above the average] I do have to be a little worried about my health...especially with knees sans cartilage.

    However, we will overcome.

I'm glad that you’re doing a bit better now. Hopefully it was just an isolated incident. While you were in the hospital was someone able to care for Johnnie II?

Both my nephew and the girl who cleans did their best to keep Johnnie II happy...although I know she missed me terribly.

    Dan,

Sorry to hear of your hospitalization.

Have you any updates? Were you able to get through to the doctor?

    Regards.

A nurse just left the house. I do have a lot of literature to go through and hopefully
finally get to a point where things will be more normal in all the stuff I stuff I have
to do - to keep up with a schedule that is pretty full of things to do.
