The site is having difficulties. It took me three attempts to upload an image a few minutes ago.

Feels slow to me, too. I don't know what's going on, except that the MB went down and back up 3 times around 4am.

It's a comcast problem - everything looks good until the last hop before it gets to the MB.

Not surprising. Comcast is our ISP, and we've been having issues recently. Comcast has a tendency to blame their problems on everything but themselves.

One would think the company that owns the National Broadcasting Company could do a better job.

It is much more convenient to have our servers in-house, but we may want to explore a content distribution network or cloud based delivery system.

The performance is unacceptable here in Boston also. (Click a link... read a book... come back and see if the page has loaded.)

Yup really broken for me today. Tried to open the pictures of the watch makers bench in the watch repair forum. Waited, went and got a drink, still the rotating thing but no picture. Gave up.

I have seen slowness at other places as well as here. Perhaps the winter weather many of us have had this weekend has much more then the usual number of people doing some last minute shopping online causing some slow response all around.

NBC!!!!!! that explains it. they'll tell you the slow down is "FAKE NEWS"

I'll leave it there in honor of the no politics policy

Completely agree with Jim, the MB has been slow as molasses all yesterday and today even more so. Sure hope someone in Columbia can get it straightened out soon.

If I recall correctly, when this happened a few months ago Comcast said "There was nothing wrong - we didn't have to fix anything." But immediately after they didn't find anything to fix, the speed went back to normal. Hmmm. Talk about CYA! It happens with AT&T, too. My employer supplies DSL via a wholesaler who sells service on AT&T's lines. 90% of the time, when our customers' DSL is down, AT&T doesn't find any problems either - but their DSL service magically starts working again.

P.S. I checked back on the previous incident - it was the SAME comcast ip address that was glacial then, too. But I didn't find any reference to Comcast denying that there were problems - maybe that was in a different thread that I didn't find. I stopped looking when I found the problem hop & confirmed that it was the same one that's killing us now.

Has anyone checked to be sure either this or another server on this connection isn't owned or under attack?
