OK. It was a copy paste.

But I thought the occasion required it. Am I sent to the sin bin?

Only administrators may delete accounts, and that is done only in extreme circumstances, such as in the instance of spammers or in the process of mergibng two accounts for the same person (only one is allowed).

May I ask the reason for this inquiry?

    Hi roughbarked,

It wasn't directed at you, it was an attempt to encourage Kevin to stay!

    Regards,

    Graham

Never fear, it never entered my head that anything here was directed at me.

Mine was a lighthearted attempt at pointing out that you may always take a break but you have important things here that you may still want to discuss.

Kevin, I wouldn't even consider voluntarily quitting this forum. I understand that there are many people like you that have much, much more experience than I, and I learn a lot here. However I also am aware that on some things I have a different world view than some.

I am in the try and keep as much as original as possible, try to do no changes to adjacent parts, using my best craftsmanship. Visibility of the repair is secondary. But I do understand that some will use a different approach to make the repair undetectable or close to it. That is fine by me since I understand where they are coming from.

Often these posts come across as being quite terse, and people can take them the wrong way.

I think it is more helpful when someone advises a method for or against to state a reason, to avoid coming across as "my way or the highway", but more importantly they learn something. I always like to know "why".

As our other colleges have stated, I encourage to stay and continue to contribute.

    Sincerely,

    David

I also would like to echo the above appreciation for your knowledgeable contributions to the board. We need more people like you, certainly not less.

    Please stick around!

    Cheers!
