    Default Permanent Threads

Does anyone else find it annoying to always scroll down past the "Permanent Threads" to get to the new posts? An option to collapse them would be desirable... to me, any way.

Actually the fellow who mostly fixed our image rotation problem, Ozzy47, has a fix for this that substantially improves the sticky thread handling and gives a collapse option. Bill dealt with him on the previous problem, so maybe he should take care of this one also.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

To give credit where credit is due, I was working with KH99 - Kevin Osborne, not Ozzy47. But I'll be glad to look into it. It bothers me, too. It will probably take at least a few days - I'm still dealing with that 2nd basement flood. It took out the furnace & A/C AGAIN, and with the weather heating up, no A/C, and no money from the insurance company yet....

I like that stickies can give advice/illustrations about common questions without having to reinvent the wheel, but once you've seen them, having to skip over them every time is pretty annoying. Most of the time, I'd rather see the recent posts at the top.

I posted the mod in the admin work area. Sorry about the name, I am turning 79 this Saturday and I am not sure my mind will last that long.

I guess the Osborne confused me via murky memories of another Osborne.

No problem, Tom. I see the similarity in the names, and if I hadn't worked with Kevin on it, I'd have been confused, too. I'm too tired right now to concentrate on working on it, but I'll try to get on it over the next couple days.

GREAT IDEA, and we're working on it in an off-line test version of the MB to be sure it works properly before installing/activating it on the REAL MB.

I always go to new posts and I never have any sticky threads at the top, am I doing something wrong?

I thought that was already quite a nifty feature I wished I had on other forums.
Nick, lots to learn, late starter.

Ralph, it's not going to be done for the current MB software. However, as I understand the present development it will be a feature of the new software. We've been doing testing now for some weeks so it's not going to be all that long before we go live. Working on style formats and presentation right now.
