    Default Lanshire Motor

Have a customer bring in an electric clock. It is a "Lanshire Type SS-2" electric movement. I really don't work on electric clocks, so I'm looking to replace this movement, or for someone who can fix it. I figure that the coil is bad as I can not get any continuity readings by touching the electric wires going to the movement. Any help or advice is really appreciated.

I believe Lanshire is one of the few motors still being made and available, but I'm not sure which one you have. Post a photo and people here will help you.

As indicated the Lanshire is marked as "Type SS-2". I hope these pictures come through. Need repaired or replaced.

Ed. The Lanshire SS-2 AC electric clock motor assembly has been obsolete for many years.

Your photos suggest that it was a "fit-up" movement. There is a large selection of "fit-up" AC electric clock motors you could use as a replacement.

The main issue is assuring that the old hands will properly fit on the replacement motor assembly.
