    Default Seth Thomas Kenbury-IW

My very first antique clock purchase is this beautiful ST Kenbury-IW in perfect working order. With a 124 movement and quarter chime, I'm in love. No dings or scratches. The key I got with it was made buy someone but doesn't work well. I have ordered one to keep this baby wound up so I can hear her.

I have been trying to find out when she was made and why some 124 movements use 5 rods and this one uses 4. Don't get me wrong, I love her sound and realize the 5th rod was for hour counting only.

Call it dumb luck or what ever, but she stays with me and will be passed down like she was meant to be.

Very nice. From an earlier thread, your clock was manufactured between 1949 and 1970.

I would suggest closer to 1950 than to 1970.

I inherited this same clock. My parents received it as a wedding gift in 1949. I recently had it cleaned and the bearings oiled. It keeps wonderful time, but unfortunately one of the chimes sounds early. Is there anyway to find the estimated value of these clocks?

You can pay a small fee and access the "What is this clock worth?" forum to ask a inquiry about the price of your clock(s).
