    I did not bent anything except arm C (see my picture) to get the strike on the hour.

    Great, done - the old 'home made' minute hand had its square hole slightly off center so they bent over the pin to adjust the strike at the hour! I'm back to normal.

    Clock speed now looks OK and the beat is nice. I have cut the rod the same length as the old one. (note: i will keep looking for a rod the same size in diameter as the old one i have, much nicer)

    OK. i have ordered Timesavers parts # 18913 (pendulum rods), 13020 (handles - i will use the minute hand only) and 10166 (cord - just in case). All other parts appears original and in good shape.

    Looks like 54 John Street was a busy clock address. Looking at Google St. now it is a garage! If M. Welton was the first occupant it may have sold its business to Connecticut Clock C.

    It has a very pleasant 'ding' song. The bell is pretty heavy. Supported by a single wood dowel in back of case.
