      Stephenph -
Are many antique fob watches by known makers, vastly underpriced at present?

When one sees some of the prices modern ( 1950's) watches are fetching - up to £2m, it seems starnge that a Tompion, so rare by the most famous watchmaker ever, sells for between £1,500 and £6k?
You could not make a modern copy today for a tenth of that price.
Look at the prices that watchmaker supreme the late Dr George Daniels CBE, go for starting at £25k up to £250k !
      Why is this?
      Ignorance, too specialised, or what?
