I have a pristine 16s 17 jewel Dueber pendant set watch. In order to get it to wind I found I needed to depress the crown slightly. I thought the case had a stem problem so I switched it to another case, same thing, I needed to keep the crown/stem slightly depressed in for winding. There seems to be a spring action in the movement which keeps the stem pushed up and disengaged unless depressed for winding. Is this the way Dueber movements function for winding or have I got a problem? This is one of the best running watches I have.

Freddy, The problem is not with your watch, but with the depth of the stem in your case. This can be remidied by adjusting the height of the sleeve in the pendent. To do this effectively, you need a sleeve wrench. With this wrench, screw off the crown, and turn the sleeve clockwise about 1/4 turn, reassemble and try again. Good luck.
