I recently found a photo of the Howard factory on line. Is the building still standing?

Jim, from my knowledge there was a Howard factory in Roxbury which burned down in 1914 and the old one in Waltham from 1854 which was later the Waltham factory building which still exists

Jim,

You probably found a picture of the Keystone Howard factory in Waltham. It was originally the U. S. Watch Co. factory. It was recently renovated into modern offices.

I have post cards of the U.S.Watch Co. and the Keystone Howard Co.(same building). Though I've seen numerous engraved cuts of the original Howard building in Roxbury I don't remember ever seeing any photographs of it. There was one pic in the Bulletin of Edward Howard and employees that was taken outside of the building but, are there photos of the watch factory itself still around?
Also, it was my understanding that the
watch building survived until the 50's and was condemned and bulldozed. This may conflict with the 1914 fire story above. I would appreciate learning the truth of the when and how the factory met it's demise. I visited the site 15 years ago and can testify that it ain't there no more. Dana Blackwell once described to me the bulldozing of the building and that much equipment and other potentially historic items were buried and covered with asphalt. It is a story I've believed for many years but I'd like to know if it is, perchance, true.
