For what it is worth, I have read in their literature that their products are no less costly directly from the "manufacture" than they are from retail outlets. indeed, the implication was that only the retail outlets could give discounts on the merchandise, as this is not done at the "manufacture".

Alas, having never traveled to Vallee de Joux, I cannot confirm or refute those claims. However, it occurs to me to wonder if the retailers in Switzerland might be more (or less) inclined to offer said discounts.

Personally, I look forward to hearing your trip report upon your return.
