Need replacement for Herschede tambour Westminster (5 rod) movement. Ck'd most suppliers without luck on dial hole arrangement.
Minute arbor to chime=34.5mm
Chime to Strike =68.6mm
Minute arbor to time =34.5mm

Even entertain repairable used movement. Don't want to go quartz!! Electric movement would be last resort.

Thanks, my customer was hoping to salvage the looks of the unit. But, you have a very good solution, that needs consideration.

Hi Bob,

Just curious. What happened to the old movement?

We have the old movement. After extensive bushing job, straightening out some poor workmanship on both strike trains, we find the platform so badly worn to be uneconomical for the customer value. Estimates on platform overhaul reach $250.00. See where we are? I guessed an old movement may have a better platform.

Hi Bob,

I see your point. Have you tried the eMart (http://www.nawccemart.com/)?

Bob: You might try The PM Co. www.PMclocks.com (http://www.PMclocks.com)
they use to have a pretty good selection of replacement platforms. (URL= PMclcock@aol.com (URL)

Good luck
