The popular source for reproduction porcelin-like enamel dials is long time NAWCC Member "S. LaRose, Inc". of Greensboro, North Carolina. They'll send you a catalog that lists the "repro" dials and other items if you call them at: 1-888-752-7673 weekdays

The dials I speak of are one-piece high quality Swiss-Made reproductions that make no pretense about being original, but are of the correct design and color.

Their "Hamilton Railway Special" dial is great for a daily-wear 992-B and there is a nice selection for Elgin, Hamilton, Illinois and Waltham.

Purists reject them out of hand, but with perfect original double-sunk porcelin-enamel dials priced so high and nearly unavailable these days, this is a viable alternative to having a dial that looks like a truck ran over it!

It goes without saying that you should have a note on your watch listings that shows "reproduction dial" so that no future buyer is ever misled.

Thanks Gentlemen, I am familiar with S. LaRose. In fact just received their 2002 -2003 Keep Book.

The dial I need is very unusual, and I think will have to be custom repro'd. It is not standard or a common dial. ProClocks (Bob Crowder)no longer does Pocket Watch dials, but he is still doing enamel Clock Dials. He does not know of a source. Dang It.
