Hi.

I posted about this pocketwatch before about a year ago...I received some good insights to its orgin, but hit a wall and have'nt found any new info on it.

Its signed by Ch. H. Grosclaude
You can visit this site and click on new watch pics to view some photos

http://courtney-webster.magix.net/

It also seems to have 2 very very small etchings of a fish

It says the name Fleurier which I learned from some people here is in Switzerland.

There are also several marks on different locations on the watch, on the face, inside covers...numbers, dates, initials

So..any insights on this pocket watch would be great! Thanks everyone...I know this is the place to be to get some answers!!

Is the case hallmarked? If so please post picture of them. This maybe a good way to narrow down country and time frame. Is there somemore writing on movement other than Ch. H. Grosclaude and serial number?

Hello Courtney,
Do you mean "FLURIER" or could it also be "FLEURIER"?
If the last one, there exists in the Val-de-travers the "Fleurier Watch Co.SA".
Best regards
Tony

I can see some similarities in this watch and the one I have.
