I haven't seen enough of these to speak with any authority on the subject, but I'm guessing that not many of these were full color? And yes, I'm aware the hands are mismatched....

The watch the dial is attached to, by the way, is a Waltham Model #1883 that has a serial number of 3874154 (for those of you out there who like to keep track of such things) and is correctly marked to match the dial. And I'd just like to say that yes, this watch belongs to me. I'd like to say that. Sadly, however, it doesn't.

That is a REALLY NICE dial!!

For what it's worth, the front cover of the 1999 edition of Ehrhardt's "American Pocket Watches.....Beginning to End," shows a picture of a watch with exactly the same dial. The photo credit says "Photo courtesy of Robert "Bob" Wingate, Dallas, Texas."

As always, thanks for sharing with us!
