Based on looking at various examples in the Ziebell collection ( http://www.nawcc-info.org/ ) and some others illustrated in this thread - http://www.mcintyre.com/Forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1599 - it would appear that these early '92 models might have had either a polished steel star or the ornate carved gold star. My feeling is that the Crescent Street probably had the gold star. Also, most of the steel stars seem to be on slightly earlier examples (or lower grade ones).
