Hamilton Exhibit Sparks Employee Reunion ? Come, Be Part of History!

Columbia, PA: The National Watch & Clock Museum kicks off a special three-month Hamilton exhibit with a Hamilton Employee reunion on Saturday, October 26, 2002 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm with a group photo being taken at 3:00 pm. Former Hamilton employees are invited to register at the event for oral histories so we may capture and preserve their experiences for future generations. The museum will be open at no charge for Hamilton employees and their guests beginning at 1 PM. Cake and punch will be served in the lobby.

?The exhibit and reunion serve as the launch pad for the multi-year initiative to obtain and preserve oral histories of former Hamilton employees. The knowledge and perspectives these people possess is irreplaceable. Our goal is to capture this information to preserve it for future generations?, stated Dr. Nancy Connelly, Executive Director.

The exhibit is open to the public and will continue through January. Hamilton was an employer of historical significance in Lancaster County for decades. The exhibit is in conjunction with the 110th anniversary of Hamilton and features vintage timepieces including Elvis Presley?s watch, employee and factory photos, advertising materials and more. An overview of the oral history process and registration forms will also be available in the exhibit area. Registration information is also available at www.nawcc.org (http://www.nawcc.org) or by calling National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors at 717-684-8261.

The National Watch & Clock Museum is operated by National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors, a non-profit association with 30,000 members and 175 chapters world wide. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. The campus includes a public horological library, museum, headquarters of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors and its School of Horology for watch and clock repair instruction.
