Hi Doug:
Welcome to this messageboard and don't let what I'm about to say stop you from posting. If one looks to the top left corner of this page you will see a notice not allowing prices being quoted. Many books are in print on pocketwatch prices that will give very up to date information. The NAWCC Library has many books on the subject.

Hi and welcome..

the image helped by giving the serial number on the movement..... this is the most important one.....

this is of course an Illinois Watch..
Circa: August 1882
Model:3
Grade: 2 or 2s
Jewels: 11
Production: 37,016 in 113 different runs from 1879 to 1897

This watch has the 'fifth' pinion, which allowed Illinois to 'convert' this movement to Open Face configuration

This was a typical simple watch from this time frame... it is unadjusted, would not be considered Railroad Grade in this time frame.

I am trying to find out the value of my Illnois pocket watch with a Dueber Coin silver case. The serial number is 394928 or 366674. If someone could tell me i would appreciate it. Thanks!
