I've read the postings for the Elgin 0S watches. I have one that I've seen no other one like it. It's a model 2, 15J, SN7860842. This watch has a motor barrel. I checked under the barrel bridge and the SN matches the SN on the movement, so it was not altered after the fact. When I got it, someone had tried to put a regular mainspring in it. It took me five years to find a mainspring, so they must not be common. Has anyone else seen a 0S elgin with a motor barrel? Tom

Hi Wayne, Thanks for your reply. I rechecked the SN on the watch and sure nuf, I read it the first time without using my loup. I should know better as I have been living with bifocals for about 15 years now. The correct SN is 7960642. I don't want you to get paranoid about your data base. The error was mine. Thanks again for the response. Tom
