Mrdubs,

Welcome!

I, for one, would like to have a much closer look at the dial with the crystal off before I would be comfortable in agreeing that this is an Omega. If someone with a much greater knowledge of early Omegas than I were to confirm that this is indeed an Omega, I would bow to their greater knowledge. Anyone?

Doug,
FWIW, I agree with your assessment. Both the dial and hands appears to be of a much later vintage than the Swiss bar movement.

Mrdubs,

The case is known as a "display" case. The back of a display case is fitted with a crystal in order to enable the movement to be viewed. Watch travellers often carried the latest model in these cases.

Hi Mrdubs,

sorry, nothing to identify. The movement is definitely not made by Omega.
