Nancy,

Welcome to the NAWCC Message Board. You are welcome to ask your question on this board. I personally don't know of any watchmakers or watch repair shops in the Raleigh, N. C. area. But there is a good chance someone who frequents this Message Board, will. In the meantime, I have provided a link to the NAWCC Message Board member's links. There are a lot of them, but a few minutes search might reveal the name of someone in your area, or at least close enough that you will feel comfortable. Many of these links enable you to reach the individual or company directly.

Please stay close to this message board in case an answer does appear. To make it easier for you to find this mesage board again, I have also provided you with a link to it, in case you haven't bookmarked it. When the icon beside your original post is lit, it may mean someone has replied to your post. "Click" on the subject line and all replies will appear. If you wish to correspond with any one individual who replies to your post, look to see the word "registered" beneath his or her name. Click on the name, and the public profile for that individual will appear. Locate the email address link, and post away. If you have any questions, get back to us, and in any event, let us know how you make out.

Regards,
Doug S.

Edited to add NAWCC link:

NAWCC website (http://www.nawcc.org/)

I will also send the link to your email address (if I really DO know how to do it) in case you have trouble finding us again. Edited to add: I guess I can't because you didn't leave your email in your public profile

HI,

Welcome to the board, and to the area.

I live about 90 miles west of Raleigh.

You do have a Local Chapter,

Chapter #17.

We just had a meeting in Greensboro NC about two weeks ago.

We will meet again in September, But I do not have the date or location handy right now... I think the meeting will again be in Greensboro.

To answer the watchmaker question.....

You have a few people that are 'close' but still a little distance away.

Alice Carpenter lives in Tarboro NC, She is a past president of AWI, I believe.
I do not have an email for Alice, but if you contact me off line, I will give you her phone number...

Julian Smith is a frequent poster on the boards,

his email is

juliansmith@ncol.net

He is also east of you.

There are also some folks around Greensboro, I can also give you their info.
