I have a CROSBY 17 lewel, open face, Swiss watch unajusted. On one of the plates is the name ( EVERBRIGHT Co.)
Can any one tell me anything about this watch co. There is no serail number on it. It has a Allis Chalmers fob on it. I am wondering if it might have been a service award watch.

K. Pritchard's Swiss Timepiece makers lists Crosby as a brand of the Invicta watch company which has origins to 1837. She also mentions a railroad type 17 J watch in the 1973 Ehrhardt. I have volume II which is 1974 so you will have to get hold of VOl 1 for more information.
My impression is htat while Invicta has been around for a long time they have never been a trend setteror notable except for long term survival.
Everbright may be a trade mark for stainless steel.
