Hi Jeff-
Replacements hands are sold by dial size and are either measured by the minute hand length (dial radius) or the distance from one side of the chapter ring across the dial to the other side of the chapter ring (dial diameter). The 22 inches you've given is a little ambiguous. Are you asking for hands to fit a 22 inch dial or is your clock 22 inches tall? Most Seth Thomas school house dials are 12 inch but there are 8 and 10 also.
R&M Import sells a variety of spade hands which would be in character for a ST school house clock. They even have the longer hands for gallery clocks with the larger dials.
Timesavers is another supplier that has a large variety of hands available and even go up to a 36 1/2 dial.
Their information is as follows...
R&M Imports
P.O. Box 60

Timesavers (http://timesavers.com/)

Hope that helps, David.
I would suggest you look for steel hands, some of the replacements are aluminum and you wouldn't be happy with them. So check the description.
