Last week at my Chapter Mart, I bought a bag of partial cases and case parts. When looking through it to see what I could salvage, i came across a case style that I have never seen before. It is an 18S, Silveroid, OF case. What makes this case different is that there is no bezel. The back screws off with threads that are the reverse of normal cases, that is the male threads are on the case back and it screws down into the case body. Inside the case, there is an inner ring that holds the movement. This drops into the case. The inner ring is held firmly in place by a screw in bezel that fits neatly just under the case back. This inner bezel has a knurled edge which makes it easy to loosen and tighten it. Inscribed on the inner case back is "Silveroid" and "pat March 25, 1890". There is no company name. I am assuming that it is a Keystone case as they were the ones that used the word Silveroid for a nickle/silver case.
Has anyone ever seen a case like this?

My friend Gerrit had one of these in 16 size GF with a paper inside the back saying it was an Anti-Magnetic Case from the Atlantic Watch Case Co. I made some copies of it. I will try to scan it and post it when I get back from Orlando.

This might be what you are looking at. Note the knurling on the bezel is the same as the back. Another intersest detail is the inner ring has the same gilt as the movement. Also the threads seem to be finer than the normal screw on bezel.
The case is marked simply Patd 1888 126082
