Hi,

I am new and need some info. I have a pocket watch and two keys that go with it- the only markings are on the inside of the casing - M&B then under that is a crown with the number 18 and under that the number 44811- there is no marking on the face of the watch. I researched M&B but couldn't find anything.
Can anyone direct me from here?

Thank you very much,
Geri:)

Not a lot of info to go on...

You might want to post a picture of the movement making sure any markings on it are visible.

Info on the case isn't going to help much. Most watches were sold as loose movements with the buyer sellecting his own case at time of sale...

Thanks, I am nervous about opening it up myself and will take it to a jeweler so that I can take a picture of it.

By your description, sounds like you have an older, mid 1800's key wind watch that is housed in an 18k case.. Careful that the jeweler is reputable, may want to buy it from you..cheap...

The crown that goes with the 18 suggests to me that this is a Swiss watch.
