Cuckoo Bellows Glue-Type used?

I have a large Lux with plastic bellows and another much older German clock with conventional wooden bellows. I'm ready to replace bellow material and need any advice or experience you have had especially type of glue and method of applying and clamping.

Hi, Muskie. I use contact cement when gluing to plastic, white glue for wood on newer clocks, hide glue on antiques (probably should just stick to hide glue for both)

I use a small hot glue gun. Cheap, quick and can be removed easily if needed.
