Just finished cleaning this 528 Vl.
All apart and back togather, no wear, Just gummed up, Somebody oiled the jewels.
Would 540 deg. rotation of the balance be ok.
I would not know how too slow that down.
I dont know what the time keeping is yeat, I will start that tomorrow.

Wow, that sounds like a lot! However it shouldn't affect the time keeping.
Might just be indicative of a good job of cleaning it up :) Overswing is the bigger concern.

540 degrees is on the high side but should be quite OK so long as it isn't overbanking (roller hitting the back side of the fork), although that requires about 680 degrees rotation. Normal rotation is in the order of 420 to 490 degrees. The only way to reduce rotation is to open up the fork slightly, that reduces impulse. However, beat errors can be introduced if not done equally to both tines so I would let it run if all else looks OK.
