There are various Waltham Colonial models in different sizes. Please post the serial number from the movement (works) to help members at least find which model it is. It will help find a solution to your repair problem.

Victor,
From the serial number in your posting (I think it is the number you listed as a model number)your watch would appear to be a Colonial Model R - 1945. The Waltham part number for this mainspring is 2252. Maybe this number will help your watchmaker find the correct spring. [If, instead, the 7-million number is the serial number from the mechanism then it is not a Colonial model, but is a standard 12-size requiring mainspring #2224].

Victor,
If it is the 12 size I do have the mainspring for it and can send you one.

Victor,
Based on the additional information you have submitted your watch is,as Jerry Treiman posted earlier a Colonial Model
R - 1945. The Waltham part number for this mainspring is 2252. I don't have a mainspring for your watch, I am hopeful Dave Haynes can supply one for you.It would be nice to have your heirloom up and running. Please post to the board if he can't help you. I am sure one of our NAWCC members can help out.

I have three blue springs #2252, I've talked to Vic and will send one along. Thanks
Jerry and Rick. It's nice to finally see some of this old stuff find a home.

Victor:
If you can get your watch back, you might consider sending it to the Escapement.
