I just took a look at a timepiece for a friend who was looking for information about her watch. I did not see any marking on the movement that would ID the watchmaker. It was an 18s calendar watch with a dark green dial. The movement was marked switzerland and it had a five figure serial number. The movement looked very common, in nickel, bar style (no wolf teeth, not high end). The only characteristic that stuck out a bit was the lever set feature. The lever arm was on the rim at 11 and rotated upward. It said "patent" and appeared brass. I was hoping someone had seen this set up to help ID the watch. The case looked like a combo of silver and gun metal. I guessed the watch was about a turn of the century piece give or take 10 years. Everything looked original. Any ideas on a maker based on the lever design or is that common? I don't see a lot of calendar watches so any help what to look for would be appreciated. Thanks.
