Hello,
I have had for many years a m92 Cresent St. with a Waltham prototype dial that seems to be an effort by Waltham to come up with it's own variation of a "Montgomery" type Dial. The dial carries a patent mark above the seconds bit and it is pictured in the Cooksey / Shugart price book. Any way my question is not so much about the dial, but when i saw a simular dialed m92 for sale on EBay I got mine out to see how close the SN. might be. Here is the Question! It never dawned on me that my Cresent St. is a 17 Jewel Model! and I cannot recall having seen another 17 jewel Cresent St. m92! Anyone have any idea how many of these might have been made?
Thanks
Richard

Sorry I just saw I omitted the SN. 10043356. Addtionaly I believe the dial is orginal to the movement.
Richard:
Ed Ueberall and I don't have any figures for production quantity, but we have been building a data base of railroad grade (and other interesting)watches for about ten years. We've got just over 200 model `92 Crescent St. watches listed.
Approximately 180 are 21-jewel
Approximately 30 are 19-jewel
3 of them are 17-jewel:
7,820,328
10,043,356 - Your watch, just added to list.
12,553,040 - Not from the most reliable source.
I would say that this is a very uncommon watch.

Richard -
Is the watch tu-tone with a gold damaskeen in the center portion? Can you post a photo?
I have seen 2 or 3 1892 model 17J Crescent Streets on eBay. The tutone damaskeen has been badly faded on all of them.

Hi John,
No this one is not 2 tone and I am sorry to say I listed the SN. incorrectly the correct number is 10,043,362 not 356. I just sent Kent several photos maybe he would be kind enough to add them here.
Here are the pictures of Richard's watch:
