Is there a site for looking up a Star Watch Case Co. serial number?
I picked up a circa 1909 Hamilton, with the SWC Co stamp on the case. Serial number is 2208617.
I was just wondering if this was an "original" case or not.
Thanks!

show us a design of the case
RobRoy:
The Star Watch Case Co. was in business when your watch was built, but there is no data (or at best, extremely little) linking case serial numbers (Star or others) to dates. The best we can do is, as Jon implies, judge if the style of the case is appropriate for the date of your movement. This is indicative only if there are no other case screw marks on the case (which would show that it previously held a different movement).
A Star ad is linked to below and show the typical case style about when your movement was made. If your case has a lower stem, it is a later case. If you're in doubt, please post a picture.

P.S. Edited to explain case style.

Thanks for the information. If Santa brings a camara this year, then I'll get some pics up for you, but that's looking doubtful.
Anyhow, I appreciate the effort.
