Look in on Frei and Borel (www.ofrei.com (http://www.ofrei.com)) under Hamilton dials. They list where the feet are for the various repros they carry.

Chris,
My reference gives the following:
22.3 min., 38.0 min., & 57.1 min.

Chris,
Tom's "close enough for government work" but being the obsessive one I am known for being, I dropped out a movement and to be precise they appear to centerline on the movement I examined at... 23.0, 38.5 and 56.5 minutes past the hour.
You could have done that in 2 minutes Chris, all 16-size Hamilton dials interchange, long as you don't try to swap 4 foot with 3 foot, then that extra foot could end up kicking you!

Chris,
Don't you mean the second bit, not the minute hand?

CP,
The center hole of the dial accommodates the center wheel, pinion and post which holds the cannon pinion, the hour wheel-all of which the hr. and minute hands are attached.
The seconds bit of the dial surrounds the fourth wheel, pinion and post which holds the second hand.
Are you trying to fit an unnamed of dealer dial to the movement? Or, is the seconds wheel post broken?
All 16s 3 foot Hamilton dials and mov'ts are interchangeable, HC & OF.
What exactly is giving you a problem?

No, as there are Hamiltons, Illinois and Waltham 16s Ball mov'ts and dials. Also, RE has some Elgin Ball dials, but what were they for?
Jon
PS I believe your origonal question was with regard to Hamilton with no mention of Ball!
