Everything looks right regarding engraving style, etc. However, it's so hard to tell originality with these things that I would be reluctent to pay much w/o more.
Case in point: At a Civil War collectors' show I observed plenty of fakes, one vendor had a bunch of leather items for sale such as cartridge boxes, etc w/the name and unit of a confederate trooper on them. ONE PROBLEM: he was sloppy and cut the same name into an old .32 automatic pistol holster (an arm which was not around until after 1900)! The Civil War is an area w/in which fakes abound! While the watch looks right to me, be carefull!
