I am posting this for a new user - Doc Freeman:

I have an American Watch with serial numbers #105172 on the case and number #4070464 on the movement. I am looking to get the movement repaired. It seems to be over wound. Also the glass on the case is broken. I would like to know what size the watch is and where I may find parts or someone who can repair it. Any Help would be appreciated

Your watch is an 1872 model Riverside grade 15J Hunting Case. These watches are slightly larger than 16 size and require a special case.

There are a number of people on this board who can repair your watch. I personally use Chris Carey of Watertown Watch & Clock in Watertown, MA. watrtwn@aol.com .

Your watch is from a run of 100 made in Feb, Mar and Apr of 1890. There is a special indication in the jeweling column that I don't have a translation for. It also says 4 pairs which translates to 15J.
