in the back screw case. It matches with dates, etc. I'm planning on putting a 992E mint movement with a minty dial in this case. I know this is heresy. Am I dumb putting a minty movement in a not so minty case? It [case] is not all that bad but is not minty...

Terry,
Not to stray from railmans post too far but,

I have searched the past discussions looking for a post you made regarding the model 2 BOC two-tone with no luck, so I need to ask again...

One more time if you have it in the memory banks...the serial range of 992B that belongs in the TT model 2 ? Thanks, Don

Well, you can't sell it on ebay! All the ones there are "MINT"!

Don,
What I have seen..so far..... In the C169500 range to C189300 range.
I have seen some lower, and some higher, but owners have stated recased movements.

Note these dates fall in the 1946 range by some of the "other" serial number lists.
This matches up with the factory literature I have posted before.

I have not seen a BOX LABEL for this combination. That would help documentation.

Nor have cases appeared that can be documented as Stainless or 14K gold filled markings....

Terry,
The case is #0363801 and the movement is 2653044. The case has a patient date of 5-22-26. I believe the movement dates to the early '30's.

Case dates to 1927-28 range... does it have Little 'leaves' or chevrons where the pendant body meets the case body? Can you see a 'step' at this intersection?

The movment dates to 1940, and is a last run movement....
from run 2651001 - 2655300

It should be in an H prefix case in the H346xxx range..

Just from info gathered so far....

Terry,
Per the book, the case is a Model 2 Wadsworth. Are you maintaining a database for Hamiltons? I'm using Microsoft's Access for Emerson fans in a fan club I belong to. I would have a couple more Hamiltons if you need that info...

Yes it is a Wadsworth case... marked Hamilton Railroad on the crown.

The earliest versions had a small step where the pendant meets the case ring. There are small 'Leaves' at this location also. This disappears later in production.

The Model 2 case was possibly one of the longest lived versions of factory cases. They seem to disappear in the early fifties, when the model 17 appeared.

Yes, I am compiling a database of Hamilton 992,992E,992B,950B, movements. Concentrating on the Factory cased movements appearing in the twenties and later.
