I'm repair this small New Haven celluloid clock and I need to remove the bezel to repair the second hand. I cannot figure out how to remove this 2" celluloid bezel without breaking/tearing it. Any suggestions. I have tried heating it with a dryer and it did not work. There is a pretty good size lip this bezel is wrapped around too.
appreciate any suggestions, here are some pictures.

you need to remove the minute (top) hand then the hour (bottom) hand.
the paper dial then needs to be gently lifted out and you will see screws/rivits that hold the front plate to the bezel.

Problem is the glass is still in place, under the lip of the bezel. Sorry I didn't mention that. The one in the back ground is the parts movement that I'm using.
Thanks,

I wonder if the movement posts might attach to threaded posts of the bezel?
I've handled clocks that had the dials secured this way :)

They may be screwed in but I think the dial/face would need to come off to handle the removal. I may just cut it off. I bought a spare movement to obtain parts need in other areas of this movement so maybe I can use the bezel albeit its brass not celluloid. :bang:
