HELLO:
My name is Cecil and this is my first post. I was left this clock by an old antique dealer. I have been trying to search for information about its age and origin. I need some help. Can you please shed any light on this clock for me. I appreciate the help!

Cecil. Your photo reveals a European made pocket watch with an accompanying padded wooden display box.
The box protects the watch and permits it's use as a clock. That it maintains the watch in an upright position in the same manner as if it was worn in the waistcoat pocket, helps the watch maintain an even rate.
This post rather belongs on the pocket watch category of the message board.
There appears to be a name below the center of the dial but it is not readable from your photo.

I got the paper clip. Ok. Can anyone give me some info about this watch. I believe this watch came from Germany. On the front the only marking is the words 8 days. To the left of the stem is a pin that when pushed allows the stem to be used to set the time. When this pin is not pushed the stem winds the watch. Opening the front gives me access to the front of the watch, however I can not figure how to remove the watch from the watch case. The back snaps open but does not get us to the back of the watch. Can anyone tell me how to open the back. The only marking I can find other than the 8 days on the front is on the inside of the back portion that snaps open. On it is what appears a symbol similar to a backward letter P, and under that is a number 7. In addition to those markings there is a 3195869. The 9 seems to have a straight line going up and down right thru the middle of the number. The case that holds it is made of wood with a hinged top. If anyone can shed any light on what kind of watch it is, where it came from and how I can disassemble the it to obtain more information, I would appreciate very much. Thank you for all your help thus far.
