Elfin question.

Hi!
I have this small ladys watch thats signed ELFIN on the movement (see picture). It has a duplex escapement. My first thought was that it was made by New England Watch co. (Waterbury). But I have looked through my books and serached the Internet without getting any solid information. Is there anyone who know who made watches marked Elfin. Any help would be apriciated.

According to research you are very correct, the Elfin was made by the "New England Watch Co.".

The Elfin was apparently made about 1898 after the Waterbury Watch Co. name was changed to New England Watch Co.

The "Elfin" was labeled as the "Smallest timepiece made in American" at that time.
